ESPRIT is the new software radio project based on AOR radio receiver using SDR technology, in association with RF detection and mapping software.
ESPRIT is the initial acronym for « Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Technical Invariance ».
In my ESPRIT version is PRedictive EStimation of a Tactical Interception. In a nutshell it is an application that determines in a few milliseconds the possible geographical origin of a stealth signal.
The key point of this application is that it works with a radio device and only 3 antennas per station when the usual equipment of major manufacturers require at least 4 antennas. As in all systems, it is needed to 3 sites to locate the desired signal. WIth ESPRIT is realized but with better accuracy, with 2 sites, the position obtained is already a rich information.
